The Hotel at the University of Maryland is partnering with K-9 Lifesavers, a nonprofit dog rescue organization dedicated to saving the lives of homeless and abandoned dogs from high-kill shelters. Aero, the College Park Airport Dog, will serve as the keynote barker.

About this event:
- Adoption day will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in front of Bagels ‘n Grinds
- Parking fees will be waived for attendees of the adoption event.
- K-9 Lifesavers will also take donations of food, crates and other pet supplies on-site during the event.
- K-9 Lifesavers will have a variety of dogs to meet and will adopt dogs on-site. They are expecting to bring approximately 15 dogs.
- K-9 Lifesavers encourages potential adopters to bring pictures of and information about their homes so they can be preapproved to adopt. If a potential adopter already has a pet, bring updated veterinary records for your current pet.
- All dogs 7 months and older are spayed or neutered and up to date on their vaccinations.
Adoption Fees:
Adoption fees have been set by K-9 Lifesavers based on several criteria.
- Puppies up to 7 months old have an adoption fee of $475. This price does include the pet’s spay or neuter.
- Dogs 7 months or older have an adoption fee of $375.
- Senior Dogs (8 years and older) have an adoption fee of $300.
- Any age dog who has overcome heartworm disease has an adoption fee of $400.
