The Lobby Bar

The Hotel at the University of Maryland is no typical hotel, and its Lobby Bar feels more like a high-end DC lounge than a hotel bar in the burbs. Aptly named for its location in the majestic lobby of The Hotel, the Lobby Bar is the ideal destination for those looking to unwind with a sophisticated cocktail or enjoy a selection of wines from all over the world.

With 12 TVs, including two 100-inch 4K televisions, the Lobby Bar is the perfect place to catch nationally televised games, local sports teams, and of course, University of Maryland football and basketball.

The Bar is Raised

The Lobby Bar’s beverage program is both unique and all-encompassing. The list of available options includes more than 160 different spirits, over two-dozen carefully chosen beers, and an extensive wine list with a wide variety of wines by the glass.

Sunday – Thursday 4PM – 10PM
Friday & Saturday 4PM – 11 PM

Cocktails

The menu of specialty cocktails was also designed for a diverse audience. Guests will enjoy a list of popular cocktails, but with a slight Lobby Bar twist. Ask your friendly Lobby Bar-tender to create a special cocktail for you.

Beer

The Lobby Bar has a superb selection of draft and bottled beers, many of them with a local, Maryland flavor. With twelve beers on tap and more than a dozen bottles and cans to choose from, The Lobby Bar is sure to have a beer to match your palate.

We have temporarily suspended draft beer service. Bottles and cans are still available.

Wine

Our beverage managers take great pride in assembling a list of wines that offers a little something for everyone – from a big oaky Chardonnay to a bright and fruity Albariño. Whether you’re looking for big and juicy or light and earthy, The Lobby Bar wine list is sure to broaden the palate and excite the senses.

Liquor

The line-up of liquors was carefully crafted by combining well-known necessities with some rarer and more unique liquors. The list includes a broad variety of whiskeys, scotches, bourbons and cognacs and some high-end tequilas, such as 1942 and Patron Platinum. The cordials offer a broad mix, with several liqueurs, digestifs, and aperitifs – covering all the bases.
