Yes, we are open! Throughout the current coronavirus pandemic, Southern has expanded our commitment to safety and well-being by thoughtfully creating a company-wide program, called Ever Strong. The Ever Strong program encompasses important enhancements we’ve made in our operations and changes to services to meet the new health and safety challenges.
The Indoor Pool is open daily from 6:00 am – 8:00 pm and operating under modified guidelines. These include the use of masks when not in the water, a maximum occupancy of 16 people in the pool area, and ONLY registered hotel guests may utilize the pool while maintaining social distancing.
Our Fitness Center is now open with occupancy restrictions, physical distancing modifications and a stringent cleanliness program in place. Come break a sweat in our state-of-the-art fitness room featuring Matrix® equipment.
Absolutely! Our stringent, cleaning and sanitizing standards have earned us the 2020 AAA Best of Housekeeping Award. Enhanced protocols in our Ever Strong program, keep rooms unoccupied for 24-hours after checkout, when possible. All linens and towels are replaced with clean, sanitized items prior to a new guest’s arrival.
Hotels have very detailed cleaning and sanitization requirements. The Hotel at UMD has a new program called Ever Strong, outlining our commitment to every area of a healthy and safe guest journey at our properties. It includes COVID-19 safety training and sanitation protocols. AirBnB hosts are not required to follow any guidelines to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
We have a low-touch check-in and contactless check-out processes in place. Room keys are sanitized before every use. All team members must wear face coverings and Plexiglas has been installed to provide an additional layer of protection. Hand sanitizing stations are located at entrances and high contact areas.
Individual reservations made directly with the hotel or via our website can be modified or cancelled without penalty based on the type of reservation made, typically 24-hours prior to arrival. Flexibility is essential in hospitality and our goal is to ensure we are available when you need us!
